Loss of internet connection


After installing our security software, if you find yourself unable to connect to the internet, then chances are that the security is blocking your connection due to one problem or the another. This could be due to:

1. Presence of a spyware: the antivirus software might be blocking the network connection to prevent any leakage of your information due to presence of some sort of spyware. In such a situation, run Avg antivirus and scan the whole system. Then reboot your device and try connecting to the internet again.

2. Outdate security files: Avg total protection could also be blocking your connection due to outdated security files of your operating system in order to not let your system get compromised. In such a situation, update and install all the necessary files and then reboot the system.

If your scans are showing error midway during the scanning processes, then try using the software as an administrator. Simply right-click on the antivirus software and select ‘open as administrator’.

It could also be that you are using an older version of the product. If so, then go to the Avg website and download the latest version and reinstall the software. If the problem still persists, then contact Avg technical support as soon as you can.

You must always make sure that the physical package of the product is always sealed. Or, if bought the subscription online, then not showing the product key to anyone. This is because, once the product key is used, it cannot be used again in another system. Hence, always be careful with your product key. However, if you have received a faulty key from the beginning then immediately contact Avg Customer care.

Error with the Product key:

If you are having trouble using Avg Antivirus app on your mobile or tablet, then chances are that you are using an incompatible version of the app. Older versions of Android might not work with Avg app, so make sure that you are using the Android 4.0 and above when running the software. If you are still facing problems, then make sure to update the app as well as check your operating system for any updates. As of now, Avg is not available for IPhone on Apple store.
